Mature Drivers Workshop - 06/17/2008

On June 17, 18, and 19th, Hope Network Rehabilitation Services, in partnership with the Traffic Improvement Association, the Ford Motor Company, and AAA of Michigan, is pleased to offer an innovative three-day workshop that provides older adults an opportunity to use their mature judgement and good driving habits to self-evaluate their driving skills and improve driving strategies. The purpose of the workshop is to allow individuals to make their own decisions about their driving based on what is learned. Participants will not be rated as a "good driver," "poor driver," or anywhere in between. What will be discussed are the effects of aging on driving, compensation skills for diminished abilities, risk management, and defensive driving skills.

This workshop is confidential, voluntary, and intended to be self-evaluating.
